CUNY’s Office of Health and Human Services (HHS) issues digital badges for students actively engaged in interprofessional educational experiences.
CUNY HHS currently issues the following digital badges through Badgr:
- CUNY HHS IPE Digital Badge for Student Participants
Digital badges, also known as micro-credentials, can be linked to your email and social media accounts or personal websites to help raise the visibility of achievements.

Steps to claim the HHS Sim-IPE Digital Badge
Step 1. Attend a Sim-IPE
Step 2. Complete the Sim-IPE evaluation
Step 3. Follow the instructions from Badgr, asking you to claim your digital badge. Please note that badges are issued montly.
Step 4. Congratulations! You have earned a digital badge from CUNY’s HHS. Share your achievement!
Noe: You will need a Badgr account to claim and share your digital badge. You can create one for free by signing up.
Digital badges are credentials that you own, so you can decide how you want to share them. The Badgr Backpack is where your HHS badge will be stored. You can store and fully ineract with any of the Open Badges you’ve earned through Badgr and non-Badgr badges may be manually uploaded to a Badgr Backpack as well. If you choose not to immediately share your badge, you can log into your Badgr account at any time to access and share your digital badges.
Troubleshooting
- If you are a student in an HHS program, participated in a Sim-IPE, and did not receive an email to claim your badge, please contact us.
- Missing Verification Email. Occasionally, students may not receive a verification email from Badgr. Students should first check their spam folder or trash to see if the email from Badgr was automatically rerouted. - Invalid Badges. In the event that a student receives an error message stating that the badge fails verification or fails to load into their digital backpack: https://support.badgr.com/en/knowledge/troubleshooting-invalid-badges
